Since the April correction lows, the S&P 500 has risen 38.2% and the Russell 2000 has gained 41.8%. Returns of this ilk, which suggest stock market strength is extending beyond the handful of mega-caps that have dominated the S&P 500 in recent years, would normally be celebrated as a sign of broadening market participation.
